Provintech, Frio groupe’s premium brand, is installing a sleek case to showcase bottles of Château d’Esclans’ “world’s best rosé”.
Château d’Esclans wanted a made-to-measure wine cellar to showcase bottles of the world’s most luxurious rosé. The two made-to-measure wine cellars proposed by Provintech now fit in perfectly with the Provencal setting, between the wine storehouse and the château’s boutique: a sleek, black, highly metallic ensemble to showcase and age the Château’s prestigious bottles.
Located in the heart of Provence, north-east of Saint-Tropez, with the Mediterranean in the background, where most of the AOC Rosés de Provence are produced, Château d’Esclans is co-owned by Sacha Lichine, who acquired it in 2006 with the ambition of making rosé a luxury product, and the LVMH group, since 2019. The estate covers 427 hectares, including 140 hectares of vineyards.
Provintech, a prestige brand serving the greatest wine cellars
For almost 30 years, Provintech has been putting its exceptional expertise at the service of the biggest names in catering and design by offering tailor-made wine cellars.
Having collaborated on prestigious projects such as the wine cellar at the Lutetia Hotel in Paris, La Mamounia in Marrakech, Compagnie du Ponant’s luxury liners and prestigious wine estates (Château Soutard, Maison Laurent Perrier), Provintech has put all its expertise at the disposal of Château d’Esclans with the aim of sublimating its space and making its wine cellar a unique creation.
The fruit of the inquisitive eye of the Provintech teams and co-imagined with the customer, the Provintech craftsmen designed, studied, built, assembled and installed a unique creation, the fruit of 10 months’ thought and meticulous attention to detail.
Nicolas Basson, Director of Provintech: “Right from the start of the project, the owner of the château had a vision for his future wine cellar: a space where rosé wine could be aged. My teams and I imagined a space ‘like a room’ dedicated to the precious nectar. It took a number of design meetings at the château and no fewer than 8 plans before we arrived at a result that satisfied our client”.
This unique and ambitious project was eagerly awaited by Sacha Lichine, President of Château d’Esclans, who had already imagined every detail: “I asked Nicolas Basson, Director of Provintech, to create a made-to-measure space to store rosés vinified in demi-muids, a room dedicated to these exceptional rosés. Tailor-made metal shelves were specially made to hold the Château d’Esclans bottles: Magnums, Jeroboams, Mathusalems, and even Salmanazars. We’re delighted with the result, which has given Château d’Esclans a unique space, both aesthetically and technically, dedicated to Provence rosé wine” Sacha Lichine, President of Château d’Esclans.
Didier Grychta, Chairman of Frio Groupe, comments: “We are delighted to be helping to bring out the best in Château d’Esclans’ AOC de Provence rosés, some of which are among the most expensive in the world. Provintech’s expertise will be used to enhance the bottles of Château d’Esclans’ lively, fresh rosé with red fruit aromas, making it the best-selling rosé on the export market”.
Provintech will be present at the SIRHA trade fair in Lyon, from 19 to 23 January 2023, on the Frio Groupe stand 6H16.
